Scrap Weekend nearly here!

I should be getting organised for the Scrap In (Girls Night In, Scrapbooking Weekend) I am organising with a couple of friends - and it's THIS WEEKEND - but I wanted to share my latest work first! I feel like I haven't scrapped for ages (the newsletter was late, I finished these a couple of weeks ago). But I'm hoping to make up for it this weekend!!! Well if I get packed.............find some photos..........lug it all to the venue..........bring my mojo.................. Aaarrrggghhhhh! At least tea is cooking itself! Can't believe I put the slow cooker on before I went to work and then got a surprise when I walked in after work and smelt it cooking! I had completely forgotten about it! Told you I had lots on......

Check out this old photo! This is using a sketch from the Imaginisce Blog. A nice easy one I will probably use lots! (You can see it again down the bottom on my lo for Lone.... Using the CPC monthly kit

Chipboard Challenge....so cute these Sassafrass chippie stickers. Finally got around to scrapping some photos from our visit to Werribee Zoo in 2006!

This was a Sassafrass Stash challenge. Visited the Monster Trucks in Kalgoorlie earlier this year. Awesome!

A challenge to create something masculine, with Father's Day coming up quickly. This is a 7 Gypsies Frame I have had for ages and finally got around to decorating.  Just needs a photo sliding in behind the glass. Not too much to it as all of the men in my family are pretty plain, no fanciness kind of guys!

This was a challenge to use lots of soft stuff, so plenty of fabric and felt and chrocheted (not by me!) flowers.
I went abseiling for my friend's 40th a few years ago. It was a long way down, but it was even further to climb back up in between! We went down backwards and then forwards! I liked backwards better as I had done that before and it felt more controlled. The whole walking off the edge of a cliff forward freaked me out!

Another one using the August Kit. This is my sister and her family. A beautiful photo taken by our friend Marni Topping.

And this gorgeous lo was a photo swap done for me by my friend Lone in SA. This is my Pop's good POW buddy, a cheeky (crude!) bloke named Snow Fairclough! We've learnt more about what my pop went through in the war from Snow than we ever would have from pop. Snow has been on the Quiet Lion Tour a few times and my sister has been with her school. This year my dad went by himself and met up with the group in Thailand. Think it would have been an informative and emotional trip for him! Having Snow there would have been like having his dad there explaining it (with a few more informative words of course!)

And in return, this is my photo swap lo for Lone! She hasn't seen it yet because it's still in the good old AP truck/plane making it's way across to her. So shhhhhh................ Hope she likes it!

So anyway, you can check out the Countrypapercraft Newsletter here

I'm off to get ready for the scrap weekend...well straight after Zumba, tea, dishes, paperwork for the weekend, .......................................
